| Corporations, LLCs, and registered Limited Partnerships doing business in North Carolina must continuously maintain a Registered Agent with a physical North Carolina street address (a PO Box alone does not qualify). The agent may be an individual resident of North Carolina or an entity authorized to do business in North Carolina, must be available at that address during normal business hours to accept service of process, and receives official state notices on the entity's behalf.
